Surfacing

To tell, my loyal readers, that I am still here...longing to blog...filled with stories...but I am buried in my thesis which I am commited to finishing by the end of February. I am trying to jot down these half whispered tales so that I can bring them to life..if words are indeed life. How ironic that my writer's block ends when I can only write in a certain way. But I am about to embark with Foucault to explore the world of confession and that may release some of this creative fustration. 15 pages of Mormon Fundamentalist history left me...cold.

But I promise to be back...and maybe possibly I will be able to squeeze in some time to write here but I don't want to make any more promises...

Here's what I did with John's poem. I never did get it to collage, or to comic. I am going to go collage but it will have to be a hands on project as opposed to a computer on project...

I love what you've done. But I must give Dufourmantelle and her translator credit for the line. I only served as magpie.

As for "How ironic that my writer's block ends when I can only write in a certain way." Unless you're a professional hack - or liar - why is this ironic?

Ironic, I think in that what I want to write I can't...well I can I just don't have the time. There's a story brewing inside, and too often when I've had to wait I lose the story.

Thanks Lolabola. I like the third one best. Although I am partial to the first as well.

i actually love the sequence down of each pic and part of the poem: it flows perfectly. can't wait to see the collage.

I love the sequence too!

The same happens to me re: writer's block. When I can't write something (or in some way), I can write something else (or in some other way).
