I got tagged (this is a first for me) by Ernesto. So here's some reveals or as H says some things that "Half reveal and half conceal."
1. I was a public school English teacher for three years.
2. Back when I had just turned 25, I dropped an incredible amount of acid in a short period of time. Then I stopped, and did it once more almost a year later, and never did it again.
3. I have a tattoo on my right breast. It is a symbol that priestess (the holy Prositutes) of Ishstar used to tattoo on their right breasts.
4. I read sleazy vampire novels...the more sex the better.
5. I used to get so angry that I broke things that I loved.
6. I don't think I'm very smart, and often wonder how I've made so far in graduate school.
7. I used to go to a lot of scifi conventions in my early 20s.
8. I love Indian food, and would eat it all the time if I could figure out to make it taste like the resturants i go to!

Eee, I've been tagged! Cool, thanks! I posted my list.
Is it just vampire novels? Or do you like vampire TV :)? You watched "Angel," right? We finished "Buffy" and were about to start watching "Angel," but our video store
doesn't. have. "Angel."
I am still upset about this. If you haven't already watched it, I think you might like "Buffy." A lot of the characters appear on both shows (Spike, Angel, Cordelia...).
I have seen some Buffy shows and I did like them and I do need a series to grap me (Lost and Battlestar don't start again until next year SOB). I did watch Angel back when it was actually on T.V. I loved it but I'm also really into angels and fairies for that matter (the good scary kind). So yeah I could do Buffy LOL.
But mostly I like novels. I'm reading some YA ones right now but not nearly enough sex...I wonder if its because the author went to Bringham Young University?
Why Ishtar?
This is going to sound so cheesy, I can hardly bear it. But here it goes...when I was 19, I had a dream about a dark haired, dark skinned woman wearing an armband fashioned in the shape of a winged bull. I did some research and found out about Ishtar. In a horrible act of cultural missprioation I'm sure, I sort of took her on. She or rather my imagings of her helped me deal with my own sexuality. When I found the symbol in a books of women's symbols I decided to get the tattoo.
Thanks for playing, Ginger! (I soooo love Indian food too!).
I've got a tattoo on my left chest. It's the number 13, from the liner notes of Doolittle by the Pixies. Track 13 is 'Hey", one of my favourite songs ever; it also evokes their song "Number 13 Baby": "she has a tattooed tit that says number 13". I did it after a break up that hurt like hell (more than getting the tatoo). It is my amulet.
I don't have a tattoo, but my password to several passworded things ends in 13 because M is the 13th letter of the english alphabet and 60s bikers used 13 to signify weed ... it should be obvious why ... shows how grown up I am ...
H says he'll play tonight. He had to go to work before he got a chance to answer the questions.
I plan on getting a new tatto in September...a small Chinese dragon as both H and U were born in the year of the dragon. I'm also trying to get a girl H works with to draw two faries dancing for me.
How about Poppy Z. Brite's novels and short stories?
Love Poppy Z. Brite. I havne't read any of her new stuff though. Actually I started one she had about these two boys who wanted to be chefs but couldn't get into the story.
love Indian food as well.
your number 5....I often give away things I love when I'm totally happy or at peace, just to see if I'm really happy or at peace. It is so infuriating later on.
nosebleeds every morning? yep that was my childhood. hope they end soon.
Hey John,
13 is a great number, isn't it. The alphabet thing adeed significance to the tattoo on the left chest. That should give you a hint.
I was aware of the weed reference, and once someone asked me if I loved weed... I said well sometimes, but...
What is about Indian food? I swear it's laced with some kind of addictive substance. I can not stop eating it which is why I avoid the buffets which are so popluar here. Our favorite place here is called Woodland's and features all vegetarian dishes. They have samosas the size of softballs.
And the nosebleeds...well I had them as a child as well so I'm kind of used to them. It freaks my kids out though...
A secret revealed: i'm a weed smoking, indian food eating, brown vampire!
Oh my! You are...no wonder I love you so much.
